LANGUAGE ARTS

Students begin each day with a journal to build their reading / writing skills. The Orton-Gillingham, phonics-based reading program is the cornerstone of teaching students how to read.

MATH

Our Math Curriculum is taught through the use of math manipulatives. Those activities engage and help develop math skills. Topics covered include shapes, counting, patterns, addition, subtraction, graphing, measurement, and money.

RELIGION

Students begin to appreciate God’s goodness in creating them and the world. They learn about God through Bible stories and projects.

SCIENCE

Children learn about living and non-living matter, weight, space, weather, and seasons.

SOCIAL STUDIES

Children learn about people, citizenship, jobs, holidays, maps, and customs.
