SCHOOL COUNSELOR

The role of the school counselor is to create and implement a comprehensive school counseling program. The counselor provides monthly classroom lessons on topics such as conflict resolution, self-esteem, organization, and friendship. The counselor also meets with students individually or in small group setting, if a common theme is present. To ensure best practice, the counselor collaborates with teachers and administrators to complement the learning that takes place inside the classroom.
