Favorite Saint: My favorite saint is St. Mary, Mother of all Mothers. My own mother was dedicated to Mary when she was born, so she has always held a very special place in our family. My love for my Mom, along with her deep love for Mary, makes St. Mary especially meaningful to me. I guess you could say Mary has been part of our family story from the very beginning.
Favorite Quote: “Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer you get to the end, the faster it rolls!” It may not be the most profound quote in the world, but I think it is a pretty good reminder to enjoy the moment, laugh often, and not take ourselves too seriously!
Free Time Favorites: I love to travel, explore, and try new things! I especially love spending time at the beach. I enjoy adventures, discovering new places, and making memories with family and friends. I’m pretty much always up for trying something new! Making memories is key!
Favorite Sports Teams: I actually enjoy all sports! But I do have season tickets to the NATS, so I definitely have a special place in my heart for the Washington Nationals.
Most inspiring teacher: This is a tough one because I have been fortunate to have several wonderful teachers who have influenced me throughout my life. The teachers who have inspired me the most are those who made me feel seen, valued, and capable. They taught with kindness, patience, and a genuine love for their students. I think that is one of the greatest gifts a teacher can give a child—the feeling that someone believes in you and wants you to succeed. Those are the teachers we remember long after we leave their classrooms.
Anything else we should know about you? I love St. Agnes for so many reasons! I love our students, our mission, our amazing teachers and staff, and, of course, our wonderful families.
I have had four children come through St. Agnes, and now I have four grandchildren who are loving being part of the St. Agnes community! So, you could definitely say that St. Agnes is a very important part of our family.
Over the years, I have watched our school continue to provide an amazing education while keeping our love for God, family, and country at the heart of what we do. That is something very special.
St. Agnes truly feels like family to me. I am grateful for the many years, friendships, memories, and, most importantly, the incredible children and families who have made this community so special. I feel very blessed to be part of it!
