Children are the Church’s most precious resource, and their safety is a top priority. The Diocese of Arlington is committed to providing a safe environment for all children, helping them grow in grace and wisdom.
At Saint Agnes, we ensure student safety by locking doors during the day, requiring visitors to sign in/out, and having staff and parents supervise students on the playground and in the cafeteria.
The Diocese of Arlington’s Office of Child Protection and Safety offers programs to create a safe environment, including:
- Training for employees, volunteers, parents, and children.
- Background checks and application procedures for those working with children.
- Monitoring of child and youth activities to ensure appropriate interactions.
- Support for victims of child abuse and their families.
