At Saint Agnes, our younger students start with iPads and then transition to Chromebooks. Technology equipment remains at the school, with the students assigned a device to use in the classroom when needed.

STEM is vital to students to understand the many uses of technology and that they can grow the necessary skills to use technology on their own. Starting in Pre-K students participate in hands on activities, including introduction to coding and use of Bee and Dash robots.

In the Primary School (Grades K-3), students continue the use of Bee and Dash, build with Legos and Kava Planks, start with coding on iPads and Laptops, and learn about Google Applications.

Intermediate School (Grades 4 and 5) students take their skills to the next level with coding in Scratch, using circuit boards for sound and light and start exploring AI. They continue to gain skills in Google Applications.

Our Middle School (Grades 6-8) students learn how to solve an everyday problem using the Engineering Design Method, learn how to code in Python and promote an event, as well as coding in JS and HTML to create a webpage. At this stage in the students career they are regularly using Google Applications for everyday assignments.
