Preparation for and receiving the Sacraments are unique aspects of faith formation at Saint Agnes Catholic School.
SACRAMENTS OF PENANCE & FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
Second grade students prepare for the Sacraments of Penance and First Holy Communion throughout the year. They lead daily prayer and participate in retreats for students and parents. Holy card collections after Sunday Mass help priests connect with families and teach about saints. Take-home workbooks let parents actively share the Faith with their children.
CONFIRMATION
Confirmation preparation starts in 7th grade with a retreat, and students receive the sacrament in 8th grade. Both grades engage in service hours, prayer, Scripture study through Flipgrid Gospel reflections, and a saint report. A Confirmation exam prepares them to defend the Faith, and the process culminates in a retreat focused on their mission to serve the Church and live as intentional disciples.
