Community

Saint Agnes Catholic School provides a wonderful sense of community for school families.  For many families, the church and school become the center of their social lives.  Parents form carpools, children develop lifelong friendships, and the entire school community provides a “home away from home.”

Parents often note that the sense of community is one of the richest aspects of Saint Agnes.  New families are each welcomed by a host family; play-dates for Pre-K and Kindergarten students are held prior to school starting; and children entering the older grades can “shadow” a current student for the entire day.  Families receive meals when a new baby is born and assistance in time of need.  All new families receive a copy of Saint Agnes A to Z, the unofficial guide to everything from All Saints Day to Volunteer Opportunities.

Saint Agnes has welcomed our family with open hearts and minds.  We’ve made great friends in a very short period of time.  And when our experienced the dread of cancer, the Saint Agnes family supported us with prayers, carpool, and meals. — Saint Agnes parent
